die neue typographie is a conceptual typeface that comments on the disparate ephemerality and beauty of disposable design. Alluding to the classic literary work on typeface usage written by Jan Tschichold, the typeface features “letters” constructed from images of IKEA furniture. GDLOFT/Allan Espiritu silkscreened the images in gold ink and arranged them to depict the phrase “All that glitters is not gold.” Ideally, the typeface changes as new IKEA products are presented yearly.
